Pfalz, 2003, Spätburgunder

Still Young. Barrique matured, potential of bottle aging for other 2 to 3 years or more. This variety is widely considered to produce some of the finest wines in the world, but is a difficult variety to cultivate and transform into wine. Some one said that "God made cabernet sauvignon whereas the devil made Spätburgunder". This is a classic wine from the beautiful year. Ripe and soft in tannin, with flavour of prunes, blackberries, vanilla and cherries, supported from soft wood flavours to round off the taste of this red wine. This wine is lighter than other reds due to less red pigment in its thin skin. shortroasted and stewedmeat, cheese.
