Dear friends,
Thanks you for your interest in German wine and your long time support.
I have selected 51 wines altogether, directly from the cellars of four wineries and hope you will find more than one wine you would like to order. They are:
- Seventeen red wines from ten grape varieties, 12 are dry, 3 are semi-dry and two wines are mild / sweet.
- One Rosy wine to refill an empty shelf of our cellar, this wine is light, semi-dry and excellent for our summer.
- Two excellent German Sekt wines handcrafted by the traditional method. They offer creaminess and bubbling until the last sip.
- Twenty-eight white wines from ten varieties, 14 wines are dry, 4 are half-dry, 9 are mild/sweet), some of them are award winners,
- One Ice wine and
- Two dessert wines in BA and TBA rating that well recognized to be the best of the best in German wines.

For friends who maybe new to our wines I would like to offer a bit more detail.
Our wines come from vineyards near a twin village called Eller Ediger in Mosel, and Hainfeld in the Pfalz valley. Pfalz is the biggest wine region in Germany. They are well-know to the world for their excellent dry white wine as well as superb red wines. Mosel-Saar-Ruwer has long tradition of wine-making, with records dating back to 1435. Their wines are mainly Riesling with the style of semi-dry or sweet.
We first imported wines from Pfalz early last year and, thanks to your support, many varieties sold out before last Christmas. Unfortunately a couple of wines which were very well liked by our clients in both HK and China are not available for the 2006 vintage due to bad weather, particularly close to the harvest in September and October 2006. The Koch winery lost their entire 2006 crop of Scheurbe to heavy hail.
You might consider this was another sign of global warming. I would strongly advise the lovers of German ice wine that you should collect a few more bottles while you can, as they are going to be rare and more expensive in the future years.
With this new shipment, we are able to offer you various varieties for your enjoyment. First at all, red wine from popular varieties as Portugieser, Dornfelder, Spätburgunder, and the rare varieties Schwarzriesling, Dunkelfelder, Saint Laurent and Fruehburgunder can be selected from our wine list without traveling to Europe.
Dornfelder is a key variety in my assortment; we currently offer Dornfelder wines in five styles. The price range of our red wines is between HKD 160.00 to HKD 418.00 per bottle. This is absolutely a bargin when compared to similar-quality wines from other countries that are being sold here for more than a thousand HKD.
Secondly, for the white wines our Weissburgunder, Grauburgunder, Kerner, Riesling, Scheurebe, Gewuerztraminer, Gruener Silvaner, Huxelrebe, Rieslaner, Ortega and Rivaner could easily fill up your cellar. We have twenty-eight white wines from ten varieties, they are in price range of HKD 210.00 to HKD 400.00 per bottle. Give them a try, taste for yourself.
Please browse our wines for online purchase, or ask for our wine list.
You are welcome to visit us in Wong Chuk Hang by appointment, call me on 94934385, or contact me via e-mail: horace@yuikee.com or fax: 28708563
We are looking forwards to serving you.
Sincerely yours,
Horace Cheung.
