Mosel-Saar-Ruwer, 2003, Riesling

Sweet nose with a crisp note of citrus. Apple and honey notes on the palate with citrussy overtones. Intense and fresh with good balancing acidity. A powerful wine, sweet and very good. Don't worries holding this a few years, although there's enough sweetness there that this would be difficult to match with food, except being used at table brilliantly as matches for rich main-course foods: foie gras saute, lobster, grilled oysters, etc., exactly like Sauternes. Great as dessert.
